The Moving Forward team believes this course is a very important initiative, as HD patients and families often require extra attention and a special approach. In many ways, the treatment success depends on how closely the patient/family member and healthcare professional  interact. Patients and family members will be more willing to follow recommendations if they trust their doctor. Specialists should be able to establish a close contact and make HD families  feel comfortable. If a doctor knows the specificities of the disease and the impact of its symptoms on daily life it will be easier to suggest effective treatments.
