"Talking HD: Ask, Learn and Understand"
Kick-off of the Czech Campaign
– Written by the Moving Forward team on April 2nd 2026
On March 26, the filming of the campaign “Talking HD: Ask, Learn and Understand” took place in Prague. This campaign was created to open up a sensitive yet highly important topic within Czech society – Huntington’s disease.
This is a new Moving Forward initiative that aims to build bridges and facilitate the communication between HD families and HD healthcare professionals in the Czech Republic. In “Talking HD”, Nikola Krejčířová, the Moving Forward coordinator for the Czech Republic, brings the questions raised by HD families to a conversation HD specialists, who try to answer all the doubts of the community in a simple, pedagogical and family-friendly way.
Through expert interviews and accessible content, we aim to help the public better understand the condition, not only from a medical perspective but also in terms of the everyday realities faced by people with HD and their families. At the same time, the campaign encourages openness, curiosity, and empathy, which are essential for breaking stigma and raising awareness.
Special thanks to Professor Roth and Associate Professor Klempíř, two well-known and respectable Czech neurologists dedicated to HD, for their time, willingness, and for sharing their valuable expertise, helping to bring reliable and meaningful information to a wider audience. We would also like to thank the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University for providing the beautiful filming facilities.
We can’t wait to share these recordings with everyone!
