PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE IN HD RESEARCH: THE 4TH MOVING FORWARD MEETING IN SPAIN
– Written by the Moving Forward team on October 12th 2023
On November 11th, from 16:00 to 19:30, we will have the 4th Moving Forward meeting in Spain, this time in Malaga. You can register now by filling out this simple form.
The meeting will be about “The Past, Present and Future in HD research” and several Spanish clinicians and researchers who have a lot of expertise in HD will present their tireless work to improve the quality of life of people impacted by HD.
Astri Arnesen, the President of the European Huntington Association will open the meeting. We will start the meeting by speaking about the 30th anniversary of the HD gene discovery.
We will learn about this meaningful event and the big implications it had for the HD world with Dr. Jose Manuel Garcia Moreno, who will speak about its clinical impact, Dr. Jose J. Lucas, who will speak about its scientific impact, and Dr. Ignacio Muñoz-San Juan, who will speak about its social impact.
Then, participants will be able to better understand the current state of HD research with a presentation by Dr. Irene Sanchez.
We could not do a meeting about HD without hearing the perspectives of families who live with it, so Javier “Chinche” Lafuente (caregiver of his wife Carmen) will speak about his experience as an attendee and speaker at the EHA conference in Belgium and will share a bit of his life as an informal caregiver of an HD patient.
Lastly, you will learn in family-friendly language all the updates about ongoing studies and clinical trials presented at the EHA conference in Belgium, in a presentation done by Ruth Blanco.
During the coffee break, we will have time to speak, meet and connect with everyone, as we deeply believe that we are stronger together!
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, November 11th at 16:00, at Centro de Innovación Social La Noria de Málaga (Avda Arroyo de los Ángeles, 50)! Join us by registering here:
