The European Huntington Association had two presentations at the Congress: an oral communication about the Involvement of HD Families in Research by Astri Arnesen (Photo 4), and an e-poster presentation about the Factors Influencing Research Participation in Huntington’s Disease: Clues from Southern and Eastern Europe by Filipa Júlio (Photos 5 and 6). This latter work presented and compared the results of the two country-specific surveys done in Russia and Spain by the Moving Forward team (Photo 7).

This congress is one of the main scientific events for the neurological community in Europe, and it is the meeting point for clinicians, researchers, and representatives from pharma companies to discuss all the topics related to Neurology (including HD).

There were some patient representatives, namely a nice booth from the European Federation of Neurological Associations that worked as THE gathering place for the neurological patient community attending the congress (Photos 8 and 9).

The Moving Forward team believes it is extremely important to be able to showcase our work, establish new contacts and learn about scientific updates in a meeting that brought together more than 8000 participants from all over the world.

Additionally, the Moving Forward team believes this was a great opportunity to empower patient organizations and their role in producing relevant bottom-up knowledge about the diseases they represent. Finally, the Moving Forward team would like to thank EFNA for their support in this event.
